His contract expires in six month time with no new offer on the table yet, but Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr has been praised by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dare.
The Minister praised Rohr for his work and contribution to Nigerian football since he took charge of the Super Eagles in 2016.
Sunday Dare disclosed this when Rohr paid him a courtesy at MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. The 53-year-old also promised Rohr that the Ministry will do everything to support him in his mission to take Nigeria’s football to the next level.
“Are we happy about where our football is at the moment? Not exactly but we know there’s an ongoing process that will make this country a better football nation. That process is on and you are part of the process, Mr Dare told Rohr.”
“Nigeria is a football-loving nation. We love our football and we also love our victories, the minister added.” In his response, Rohr thanked the Minister for his kind words, while also hoping they will work together for a long time.
