As has become customary week in and week out in the English Premier League, Nigeria international and Leicester City defensive midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, delivered a man-of-the-match worthy performance as the Foxes crushed struggling Arsenal after which he expressed his delight at the victory.
Leicester City humbled Unai Emery’s men 2-0 at the King Power Stadium on Saturday thanks to second half goals from Jamie Vardy and James Maddison but it could have been more had a cracking Wilfred Ndidi shot not crashed against the wood work.
Ndidi, 22, was impressive throughout as a fearsome Gunners attack was kept quiet for the entire duration of the encounter.
Posting an incredible 90% pass accuracy, a game high 100% final third pass accuracy, 7 out of 10 tackles won – the most on the pitch – 5 ball recoveries, 3 successful take-ons, and 3 interceptions, the former Genk star showed once again why he is such a vital player for Brendan Rodgers side.
After the games, Wilfred Ndidi took to his official Twitter account to praise his teammates for a job well done against a direct top four rival.
“Amazing performance from the team and 3 points in the bag to take to the international break. We keep the momentum Foxes,” the Super Eagles star wrote.

A former Nigeria international and Olympic gold medal winner had earlier reacted to Wilfred Ndidi’s display against the Arsenal.
Ndidi is expected to report back to the Super Eagles camp as Gernot Rohr’s men prepare to engage Benin and Lesotho in an AFCON 2019 qualifying double header.
