Nigeria’s Talented Youngster Sends Emotional Message To Sacked Arsenal Manager Emery

Following the not-so-surprising dismissal of Arsenal head coach Unai Emery on Friday – the consequence of a poor run of form – young winger Bukayo Saka has worded an emotion-laden goodbye message to the sacked Spaniard.

Bukayo Saka has joined a few other senior members of the Gunners squad in appreciating the effort of sacked head coach Unai Emery in helping him make the progress from the youth team to Arsenal’s first eleven.

It would be recalled that the former Sevilla manager, who only lasted 18 months as Arsene Wenger’s successor, handed Bukayo Saka his first team debut – a Europa League 3-0 victory away at Vorskla – exactly a year to the day he was sacked.

That fact is however not lost on the England youth international with Nigerian heritage who has taken to one of his social media accounts to appreciate the man who showed huge faith in him.

“This same day last year you gave me my debut for Arsenal,” Saka wrote on Instagram, a few hours after Emery’s sacking was announced.

“And since then you have given me plenty more opportunities and shown a lot of faith in me.

“For this I will always be grateful. Thank you and good luck for your future,” Saka remarked.
