After failing to qualify the team for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, the head coach of the Nigeria’s Under 23 side has revealed that his future could only be judged by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Recall that Nigeria was eliminated from the CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations after the team drew goalless against South Africa on Friday, to finish group B on four points.
However, Imama Amapakabo who also failed to succeed in the WAFU Cup nor qualify for the CHAN 2020, told Brila Fm in a chat that was monitored by Soccernet.ng that his fate is not in his hands.
“It is totally out of my hands. We have to look at the future; this has ended, whichever way we want to look at it,” Imama said.
“And it depends on what the federation wants in terms of going forward.”
