Valencia trade tackles with the French side on Tuesday on match day 4 of the UEFA Champions League, a couple of weeks after both teams played out a thrilling 1-1 draw and the manager of the La Liga side has revealed that his men would have to do more than last time to claim all the three points at stake.
Lille parade young Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen, who scored Les Dogues equalizer against Valencia a fortnight ago, leading Albert Celades to charge his men to be prepared for the biggest match of their season so far.
Lille boast of a single point after three games and have the chance to leapfrog Valencia should they claim all three points at stake but Los Che, currently sitting in third place in Group H, could go past Chelsea and Ajax with a win at Mestalla.
“It’s a very important game, our most important one of the season,” Celades told the press as observed by Soccernet.ng.
“We’ve already spoken about it internally. We’ve spoken and we’ll face it like this.”
“We found it very difficult there (in France),” Celades said.
“Lille were better than us in everything other than the result.
“It’s a very difficult match, they’re a great team.
“Due to the importance of the game, we have to play a much better match.”
