Tomori And Tammy Return To Lift Chelsea Past Man United’s Conquerors, Newcastle

Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham return to club football after subdued individual showings with the Three Lions against Czech Republic and Bulgaria and both would be keen to keep up the good form that earned them the England call up in the first place.

At club level, both Nigeria-born English stars have been impeccable as red hot Chelsea look to extend their winning streak in all competitions to five games when they host Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Frank Lampard’s men have put in a string of fine performances in the weeks leading up to international break, hitting 15 goals in total across their sequence of four successive victories.

After a rough start to the campaign, the Blues have become one of the most entertaining teams in the country, scoring goals for fun upfront and finding it difficult to keep things tight at the other end. In the twelve competitive matches Chelsea have contested since the summer, the Blues managed to secure just a single clean sheet in a 2-0 win against Brighton last month.

Things could get cagey though as a limited Newcastle visit Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Newcastle came back from a 5-0 lashing at Leicester City to claim a hard-fought 1-0 win over Man United before the international hiatus and will head to Chelsea with the aim of scrapping out another point from a top six side.
