Newly invited Super Eagles forward, Peter Olayinka, has revealed that Wizkid’s song was the ritual behind his performance against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League.
Olayinka netted a goal in Sparta Prague’s 1-1 draw against Inter Milan in the Champions League at the San Siro Stadium.
He revealed that listening to music has always been a major highlight of his game and that he keyed into Wizkid’s music before the encounter in Italy.
“I motivate myself. Before every game, I listen to music and I listened to Wizkid on that day as I usually would,” the 23-year-old said.
“It was a difficult game and against a tough side, but we managed to get the three points. Now we are six points behind the second spot team.”
Olayinka will be part of the Super Eagles squad that is expected to face the Samba Boys of Brazil in an international friendly game in Singapore on October 13.
