Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen’s impressive start in the French league with Lille will come under scrutiny when the team visit Toulouse today (Saturday).
Osimhen, who was recently crowned French Ligue 1 player for September after scoring eight goals in all competitions for the French side in 11 appearances this ongoing season, will be hoping to net his first away goal.
The former Royal Charleroi of Belgium star will be aiming to net another goal that will ensure Lille pick the maximum point and move within touch of a Champions League place.
Lille are unbeaten in almost two months but they have drawn 3 of their last four games. Away from home is where the problem lies for them as they would be down in 17th place based on that record and they have not won a game yet on the road, gaining just 2 points from a possible 12.
Toulouse come into this match in 18th and the relegation zone and so they will have a lot of work to do. Their last game before the international break ended in a 3-1 loss at home to Bordeaux which just underlined their season so far and it is clear that they started poorly.
