After a masterclass performance that saw a 9-0 thrashing of Southampton last weekend Premier League at Saint Mary’s Stadium, Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi and Leicester will be hoping for another sterling display when they visit Burton Albion in today’s (Tuesday) Carabao Cup.
The Nigerian international, who marshaled the team’s midfield with so much pace and energy for the entire 90 minutes, will be expected to replicate the same performance as the team hopes to progress to the next stages of the competition.
Having managed to score two goals this ongoing season, the former Nathan Boys star will be aiming to add to his goal tally against Burton Albion.
Also, his Nigerian compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho could have the chance to prove his worth against Burton Albion. The former Manchester City star has featured in one League Cup game but has not featured in the Premier League under manager, Brenda Rodgers this season.
Leicester have no new injury concerns following their free-scoring exploits in Southampton, meaning that the biggest question for Rodgers regards the extent of his rotation.
