Man United Claim First Away Victory As Rashford, McTominay, Martial’s Goal Down Norwich

Manchester United ended their goal-scoring woes in impressive fashion by putting three past Norwich at Carrow Road to claim their first Premier League away victory on Sunday.

It could have been more with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side awarded two VAR-approved penalties in the first 45 minutes – missing them both.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial were both denied by Tim Krul but made up for the misses with fine finishes following Scott McTominay’s opener.

The Scotland international scored his second goal of the season after 21 minutes, turning superbly in the box to find the far corner. United’s first VAR-approved penalty came minutes later when Daniel James was brought down by Ben Godrey – only for Rashford’s tame effort to be saved by Tim Krul,

It was Rashford’s second miss from 12 yards this season but the England international made amends four minutes later, brilliantly controlling James’ lofted pass before slotting home.

Norwich were stunned when United were given another spot kick minutes before half-time – Todd Cantwell judged to have committed a handball when Fred fired a shot on goal.

Martial, who scored from 12 yards on Thursday, stepped up this time, but he too was denied by Krul.

United went in at half-time two goals to the good – the first time they have scored more than two in a game since the opening day of the season.

Norwich failed to capitalise on the visitors missing their chances to put the game to bed – with Teemu Pukki passing up their best opportunity minutes into the second period.

Solskjaer has talked up the potential of unleashing Rashford and Martial together following the Frenchman’s return from injury and the duo combined brilliantly for United’s third – the England international back-heeling into the path of the Frenchman who superbly dinked over Krul.

Onel Hernandez slotted past David de Gea with two minutes of the 90 left – but it didn’t stop United cruising to a much-needed win.
