Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has hinted he may not sign a new deal with the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) when his contract expires.
The German tactician has just less than a year left on his current deal, but there are reports NFF are hoping to offer him an extension.
Although opinions have been split on the work he has done since he took charge of affairs in 2016, he has brought stability to the team and also ushered in a new era of the country’s golden generation.
While these are good times for the Super Eagles especially with the abundance of talents coming in, Rohr could decide to call it quits next August.
Speaking to online_MM, Rohr revealed he is not sure if he is going to accept a new deal when his contract expires in August. When asked if he will extend his contract with the team, the former Bordeaux manager said: “Yes and no. On the one hand, we’ve built a good team, youngest in Africa.
“On the other hand, there are many things that make work difficult: lack of respect, organisational problems & promises not kept. We’ll see how it goes,” Rohr added.
