Exclusive: Super Eagles Defender Reveals Neymar, Firmino, Jesus Pose No Threat To The Team

Super Eagles assitant captain, William Troost-Ekong has revealed that the trio of Brazil’s Neymar, Roberto Firmino and Gabriel Jesus won’t pose a big threat to the team in today’s international friendly game in Singapore.

Nigeria have only met Brazil on one previous occasion at senior level while the Super Eagles have won just one of their last eight international friendlies.

The Udinese defender told Soccernet.ng that players ar delighted to be facing Brazil and that it would serve as a morale boost for the team if they beat the Samba Boys.

He also stated that the players match the Brazilan squad strenght for strenght regardless of the presence of Neymar aand Firminho in the team.

“I am so happy be part of the players that will be facing Brazil in today’s international friendly encounter in Singapore,” Troost-Ekong told Soccernet.ng.

“We all know what the Brazilian team can do as witnessed in the game they played against Senegal and I am sure they will be eager to get a result against us.

“We have players who are as good as Neymar, Firmino, Jesus and Firminho in the Super Eagles. They will definitely pose no threat to us.”
