AFCON Qualifiers: Victor Osimhen Gives An Update On His Latest Injury

The Nigerian international was taken off in Lille’s win over Bordeaux on Sunday due to an injury, and that created fear he could miss Super Eagles AFCON 2021 qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.

However, Osimhen has allayed such fears, saying he was only taken off as a precaution. The former Royal Charleroi striker disclosed this to Super Eagles teammate, Kenneth Omeruo on his social media handle @victorosimhen9

When asked about the extent of his injury by the Leganes defender, Osimhen replied: ”I’m fine. It’s just a minor injury issue. Thanks brother.”

The 20-year-old has taken the Ligue 1 by storm in his debut campaign, scoring seven goals in 11 Ligue matches. Lille currently sit third in the French top division with 18 points.
