Newly invited Super Eagles forward, Josh Maja has disclosed that he would take his chances if given the opportunity to represent Nigeria in tonight’s international friendly against Ukraine today (Tuesday).
The Bordeaux star was among three new invitees that Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr invited in the 23-man squad.
Maja in a short video posted on the Super Eagles Twitter handle said that he would fight his way to the first team of the senior national team.
“I’m delighted to get my first callup for Nigeria. It’s a big opportunity to show the fans and the coaches what I can do. I am going to work my hardest to make all those who have made this dream a reality very proud,” Maja stated in a short video posted on the Super Eagles Twitter handle.
“I play as a central forward and I like to create chances and score goals and generally work hard for the team. So I’m looking forward to getting my chances in the team so I can show what I can do and also stay here for a long time.”
Maja will be hoping to impress the Super Eagles handler in a bid to get subsequent call ups.
