September FIFA Rankings: See Super Eagles New Position

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have dropped one place in the latest FIFA Rankings that was released on Thursday.

The three-time Africa Cup of Nations champions are placed 34th in the September FIFA rankings after earning 1482 points. In the August rankings, the team was placed 33rd in the world.

The team recently played 2-2 draw against Ukraine in an international friendly game at the Dnipro Stadium, their first game after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, where the team finished third.

In Africa, Senegal are placed 20th in the world], Tunisia [29th], while reigning African champions Algeria are fourth [38th] and Morocco fifth [39th].

Meanwhile, Belgium remain top of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking after an action-packed number of weeks in international football.

Though the teams in the top ten remain unchanged, there was  some movement. France (2nd, up 1) and Brazil (3rd, down 1) have traded places, while Spain (7th, up 2) are the top ten’s biggest movers.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 24 October 2019.
