See What Leon Balogun Said About The Killings Of Nigerians In South Africa

Leon Balogun is the latest Super Eagles star to comment on the Xenophobic attacks currently going on in South Africa.  A lot of Nigerians have lost their lives, while some have lost businesses worth millions of naira after they were attacked by South African citizens who have accused them of stealing their jobs.

Nigerians are not the only one targeted by South Africans with Zambians and citizens of other countries also affected by the attacks.

A lot of stars have announced they will boycott South Africa in response to the attacks, while Zambia national team have also pulled out of their international friendly against the Bafana Bafana.

Super Eagles stars have also lent their voices to the cause, with John Ogu and Carl Ikeme speaking out against the attacks. Brighton and Hove Albion defender, Leon Balogun is now the latest star to speak against the issue.

The former Mainz defender took to his twitter page to condemn the attacks, saying, “Together we stand, divided we fall! I’m praying for UNITY” with the hashtag say no to Xenophobia.

Meanwhile, the South Africa Football Association (SAFA) have announced that Madagascar have replaced Zambia as Bafana Bafana’s friendly opponents.

The Chipolopolo pulled out of the proposed friendly against the South Africans due to concerns over their security in the wake of the Xenophobic attacks.
