It was a weekend of goals and more goals for players of Nigeria descent across Europe.
Victor Osimhen cannot stop scoring in France, Chuba Akpom is firing them into the net in Greece, Semi Ajayi is getting in on the act in the Championship while Tammy Abraham remains the best of the best in the Premier League.
Soccernet.ng takes you around Europe and beyond to witness the exploits of fellow country men and women.
England
Alex Iwobi, Bournemouth 3-1 Everton
The Nigeria international was on the pitch from start till finish but could do nothing as Everton suffered a crushing 1-3 loss to the Cherries. It was the Toffees’ second league defeat of the season which saw them drop to 11th in the EPL standings.
Iwobi had scored twice in back to back wins against Lincoln City and Wolves in the EFL Cup and League match respectively but was tamed by the Bournemouth defense on Sunday.
Semi Ajayi, Fulham 1-1 West Brom
The Super Eagles defender glanced home an 80th minute header to salvage a point for West Brom in their 1-1 draw with Fulham at Craven Cottage.
It was Ajayi’s first ever competitive goal for the Baggies since joining from Rotherham during the summer.
Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori: Wolves 2-5 Chelsea
Canada born defender Fikayo Tomori opened his goalscoring account with a curling effort to the top corner to give Chelsea the lead versus Wolves.

But all the applause was scooped by Anglo-Nigerian striker Tammy Abraham, who scored a hat-trick as Chelsea beat Wolves 5-2 on Saturday.
After a dull start to the season, Tammy Abraham now leads the goalscorer’s chat in England with 7 goals coming in his last three games.
Both Tomori and Abraham are still eligible to play for Nigeria and England.

China
Odion Ighalo, Shanghai Shenhua 0-3 Tianjin Teda

Ighalo replaced former AS Roma star Stephan El Shaarawy just after the break with the hosts already behind by 3 goals in the Chinese Super League match staged at the Hongkou Stadium on Sunday.
Turkey
Abdullahi Shehu, Bursaspor 3-1 Osmanlispor
Super Eagles versatile full back got the opener for the hosts and was impressive throughout to help Bursaspor record a sweet 3-1 victory over Osmanlıspor.
The defender who missed the AFCON 2019 for the Super Eagles due to injury played all the 90 minutes of the encounter, his fourth in the Turkish First League this season.
Sweden
Chinedu Obasi, Haecken 1-2 AIK
The former Flying Eagles striker was one of the heroes for his club as AIK recorded a stunning away victory over Haecken at the Bravida Arena in the Sweden Allsvenskan.
Ogbuke Obasi netted the opener midway into the first half to set the visitors on their way to a 2-1 victory. It was his first goal in the league since July.
Germany
Jamilu Collins, Paderborn 1-5 Schalke
The Super Eagles left fullback and his club are hovering dangerously around the relegation places after succumbing to an embarrassing 5-1 loss at home to Schalke.
Collins was one of the better players on the pitch for the humiliated hosts, posting a personal ratings of 7.2 after completing 10 dribbles and winning two tackles.
But Paderborn endured a difficult afternoon despite taking the lead, as early as the opening 8 minutes of the encounter. However, once the visitors equalized and led later, it was all down hill from there on for the newly promoted side.
Spain
Asisat Oshoala, Rayo Vallecano 1-1 Barcelona Women
The Super Falcons striker failed to yet again find her scoring boots as FC Barcelona Femeni were held 1-1 by Rayo Vallecano in a Primera División Femenina match on Sunday.

But for the third consecutive game the former African Women Player of the Year could not deliver the goods for the Catalans.
The stalemate sees Barcelona fall two points behind champions and last season’s nemesis Atletico Madrid.
Chidinma Okeke, Atletico Madrid 3-0 Madrid CFF
Days after lifting Madrid past Real Betis in the Primera Division Femeni, new signing Okeke was helpless as her second start for the club ended in a trouncing.
The no nonsense defender played the entire match but couldn’t salvage the situation as Víctor Miguel Fernández’s side were hammered 3-0 by champions Athletic Madrid CFF.
Osinachi Ohale, CD Tacon 3-0 Sporting de Huelva
The Super Falcons star had a debut to remember as her club CD Tacon recorded a convincing 3-0 win against Sporting de Huelva on Saturday.
The 29-year-old missed Tacon’s 9-1 thrashing at the hands of Barcelona last week after only wrapping up her move to the Spanish side from Sweden’s Vaxjo on Friday.
Goals from Sofia Jakobsson, Jessica Martínez, Kosovare Asllani gave Tacon their maiden Spanish top-flight win against the visitors.
Scotland
Joe Aribo, Sheyi Ojo: Livingstone 1-3 Rangers

The rangy midfielder returned to help the Gers bounce back to winning ways by dispatching Livingstone in a 3-1 defeat.
Aribo played for 75 minutes and also provided an assist as Steven Gerrard’s men reacted well to going down to a penalty by seeing off Livingstone in a rather easy 3-1 victory.
The other player of Nigeria decent, Sheyi Ojo provided the assist for Brandon Barker to make it three for Rangers.
The win takes Gerrard’s men to just 3 points behind top of table Celtic, who have five wins in five games so far this season.
France
Victor Osimhen, Lille 2-1 Angers
Two goals from Victor Osimhen and Araujo helped put Lille back to winning ways as the hosts edged Angers 2-1 at the Stade Pierre Mauroy, Friday night.
Victor Osimhen found the back of the net yet again for Lille against high flying Angers to make it six goals in six matches for club and country to confirm his ratings as one of the best young talents in Europe at the moment.
The Nigeria international scored his fifth goal of the Ligue 1 season in the 38th minute to hand Lille a precious lead, a few days after netting his first goal for the Super Eagles in a friendly tie with Ukraine.
The 20-year-old forward was the quickest to react as the Angers goalkeeper spilled a fierce drive from Jonathan Bamba, leaving the Nigeria international to bundle home the loose ball.
