New Super Eagles Midfielder Discloses What Nigerians Should Expect From Him Against Ukraine

Newly invited Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo has revealed that he’s eager to take his chance if given the opportunity to be in the starting line up against Ukraine in today’s international friendly clash at the Dnipro Arena.

The Glasgow Rangers star stated this via the Super Eagles official YouTube channel, where he lauded the team’s technical adviser, Gernot Rohr for extending an invitation to him.

Aribo is barely known in Nigeria as the Scottish Premiership isn’t very popular over there, and the former Charlton Athletic star has told them what to expect from him.

He has been tipped to fit into the shoes of retired Super Eagles midfielder and captain, Mikel Obi considering their similar style of play.

“I’m really happy to have got this call-up to Nigeria, and I just want to make the most of it and also play as long as possible to do all I can to ensure we continue being the best national team,” the Rangers midfielder told the Super Eagles official YouTube channel.

“I’m a central midfielder and I like to get in and around the box, help the team defensively and also add more bite to the attacking strength of the team”.
