Mourinho Says United Have Not Made Any Progress Under Solskjaer Following West Ham Loss

Jose Mourinho has admitted he deserved to be sacked as United boss but insists the team are now worse than before following their 2-0 loss to West Ham at the Olympic Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Pressure is mounting on Mourinho’s replacement, Ole Gunnar Solskajer, after the Red Devils away day woes continued. The 20-time league champions have not won away since they defeated PSG in the second leg of the round of 16 champions league.

It’s a stark contrast to Solskjaer’s early days when he won ten straight games. United added new players this season, but Mourinho believes the team has regressed under Solskjaer.

Speaking as a pundit on Skysports, Mourinho admitted he deserved to be sacked, but claimed the team has not improved since he was replaced.

“I was sacked, I probably deserved to be sacked because I was responsible as the manager, but the sad reality is that they are worse than before, the former Chelsea manager said.
