The 25-year-old who only joined Yeovil Town from Bury over the summer found the net inside four minutes, blasting the ball into the roof of the net on the rebound after Myles Hippolyte had struck the post.

It was his first league strike since he joined Yeovil Town.

The league leaders were surprisingly out played, outfought and out-though by the away side who dominated. The home side’s goalkeeper Sam Johnson was worked overtime and had to be applauded for keeping Fax within touching distance.

Halifax should have equalized after the interval but Tobi Sho-Silva could only hit the post with a low drive for the Shaymen.

It was harsh on Pete Wild’s men when Yeovil doubled the lead. Johnson this time spilled Matt Worthington’s cross and Omotayo profited to hand Yeovil Town there third straight win.
