Liverpool’s number one shot stopper Alisson Becker has crowned a remarkable year by winning The FIFA Best Goalkeeper of the Year award, ahead of Manchester City’s Elderson and Barcelona’s Ter Stergen.
In a trophy laden year, the former AS Roma shot stopper won the 2019 Copa América – he also claimed the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper – with Brazil a few weeks after lifting the UEFA Champions League with Liverpool.
Alisson’s top quality performances earned him, earlier in the year, the number one spot in the UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season while he also picked the UEFA Champions League Goalkeeper of the Season award.
The 2018 Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year was also the winner of the 2019 Premier League Golden Glove.
