Tottenham Hotspurs line up Nigeria-born midfielder in player + cash transfer deal

Nigeria-born Joshua Onomah has reportedly been included in a player plus cash deal to bring Fulham’s winger Ryan Sessegnon to the White Hart Lane.

Tottenham have made an offer of £30 million ($36.4m) plus attacking midfielder Josh Onomah for Fulham wideman Ryan Sessegnon.

19-year-old as been one of Mauricio Pochettino primary summer targets and it has emerged that the Champions League runners up are hopeful that their latest bid will be enough to secure Sessegnon’s signing ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline

Sessegnon, who burst onto the scene at Craven Cottage as a 16-year-old, scoring 21 goals in 75 Championship appearances, is regarded as one of English football’s top talents.

Tottenham are finally close to completing the signing of Ryan Sessegnon with academy graduate Josh Onomah thrown in the deal to convince Fulham to part with their prized asset.

Joshua Oghenetega Peter Onomah has been a regular youth international for England, including winning the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2014 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship.

It is believed that the player, who is still eligible to play for Nigeria, is interested in the move to Fulham after being pushed far down the pecking order at Spurs.

The 22-year-old is not expected to make any impact this term, with the North London club’s record signing of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon having further blocked the pathway for the homegrown midfielder.

Oghenetega Onomah spent last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, having already spent time earlier at Aston Villa and he hopes that he can complete a move this week to one of the promotion favourites in the Championship.
