Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has revealed his desperation to transform Marcus Rashford to another Cristiano Ronaldo that would be pumping in the goals for the team.
Solskjaer will be facing another stiff test in today’s (Monday) Premier League clash against Wolves but was quick to assure Red Devils supporters that his new strikeforce, Rashford will be built to score goals this season.
Just like Cristiano Ronaldo, Rashford now spends most of his career at Manchester United on the wings. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants him to play center positions.
Interestingly, the former United star is personally handling the striking drills with Rashford and has been leaning on the same routines that helped Ronaldo transform from a tricky winger into a lethal forward.
He said: “My desire is to see Marcus Rashford handle the goal-scoring responsibility of Man United this season. And that can only be achieved when you teach him how a player like Cristiano Ronaldo succeed as a goal-scorer.
“I am confident that Rashford has the quality to achieve our main task considering the fact that he has similar traits like Ronaldo in terms of skills, pace and sights for goals.
Recall that the England international scored twice during the Red Devils’ match against Chelsea with 4-0 final score. Manchester United will be hoping that Rashford continues his impressive start against Wolves on Monday at Molineux.
