Salah’s Double Ends Arsenal’s Unbeaten Run In EPL

Arsenal was brought back to earth after starting the season unbeaten as high-flying Liverpool led by Mohamed Salah thrashed the Gunners 3-1 at Anfield in Saturday’s Premier League clash.

Joe Matip opened the floodgate of goals in the 41st minute via a well-powered header that went straight into the net. The Reds were firing from all cylinders as they bombarded the Arsenal defense with series of attacks through the attacking duo of Sadio Mane and Salah.

Salah added more salt to Gunners injury when he extended Liverpool’s lead in the 49th minutes via a penalty to send the home crowd in a frenzy.

A few minutes later, Arsenal’s misery was compounded as Sala earned his double of the encounter when he netted in the 59th minute.

Liverpool could have made the scoreline worst but goalkeeper, Leno prevented Salah from grabbing a hattrick.

Salah has been the big difference as he has been a monster in the second half, haunting David Luiz who has made a host of errors.

However, the Gunners scored a consolation goal thanks to Lucas Torreira’s close-range shot in the 85th minute, to make the scoreline respectable for the visiting supporters.

The victory makes Liverpool the only team with a winning record in the Premier League this season and move the Reds top of the table.
