The Super Falcons forward was on target once again as FC Barcelona Femeni crushed CE Seagull 5-1 in the semifinal of the Copa Catalunya Femenina, Thursday night at the Estadio Nou Municipal de Palamós (Palamós).
FC Barcelona Femeni have made it to the final of the Catalonia Cup following a convincing victory over the Second Division side, with an in-form Oshoala Asisat grabbing her 8th goal in only her last five matches for Barca to round up the scoring on the night.
The UEFA Champions League finalists ran to a comfortable 4-0 first half lead thanks to an Alexia Putellas brace and one each from Aitana Bonmatí Conca and Marta Torrejon before Esther Sola pegged one back for the away side on the stroke of half time.
It was a more even contest in the second half until Oshoala was introduced in place of Marta Torrejon with 20 minutes left of regulation time. Ten minutes later, her name shot up on the score board. After receiving a cute cut back, the Nigeria international controlled the ball well, maintained her balance and fired her shot past the goalkeeper.

Earlier in the first game of the pre-season, Oshoala banged in a hat trick in the 13-0 demolition of AEM Lleida. The 24-year-old then scored once in Barcelona’s 5-0 mauling of French side Marseille.

Asisat Oshoala got the only goal as FCB overcame the stiff resistance of Montpellier in the club’s last friendly game before the commencement of the new season.
Another very good test game for us today against a tough side. Great team work once more 👍🏽 https://t.co/3CGRCBfK3C

That was before Thursday night’s game against Seagull in the semifinal of the Copa Catalunya, a trophy last claimed by Barcelona 12 months ago after humiliating Espanyol by 7-0.
