The Norwegian side recorded a straight forward 3 – 1 victory over Maribor, Wednesday night, in one of the qualifying games of the UEFA Champions League with Samuel Adegbenro featuring for the entire ninety minutes.
Samuel Adeniyi Adegbenro was on from start to finish as three second half goals lifted Rosenberg above Maribor during the first leg of their UEFA Champions League 3rd qualifying match away at the Ljudski vrt Stadion.
A brace from A. Soederlund and a late strike from M. Jensen handed the 2018 Norwegian champions a comfortable lead to take back home ahead of the second leg next week.
M. Tavares got the consolation goal for Maribor in the 70th minute, in a game where Adegbenro picked up a 23rd minute yellow card.
The 23-year-old has been in inspired form this season for Rosenberg, scoring twice and providing another two assists in just 9 Eliteserien games.
The Oshogbo-born ex-Kwara United winger joined Rosenborg from fellow Norwegian side Viking two years ago.
