Super Eagles invitee, Maduka Okoye, has expressed his delight with his invitation to the team’s camp ahead of the international friendly game against Ukraine.
The Fortuna Dusseldorf was one of the newly invited players that Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr announced on Wednesday for the September 10 clash at the Dnipro Stadium.
However, on Thursday, Okoye took to his official twitter handle to declare his readiness and joy to have been invited by the technical crew.
The 19-year-old took to the social media to express his happiness on the call-up and also thanked the fans for their goodwill messages.
“Can‘t express my feelings and how happy I am to get my first call-up for the Super Eagles.
All praise to the most high.
Thanks for all the messages!
#naijaboy,” Okoye tweeted.
Arigbo, who plays for Glasgow Rangers in the Scottish League, has been tipped to replace retired Super Eagles captain and midfielder, Mikel Obi.
He said: ‘I am very happy, it is a dream come true to receive the call-up.
”My agent was the first person to inform me that I was invited to the Super Eagles. I had spoken to one of the assistant coaches in the team before the invitation.”
