GOAT Debate: Supercomputer Reveals Who Is Better Between Ronaldo And Messi

It’s been an unending argument over the years but we may finally have an answer on who is better between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The two football icons have dominated the sport for more than a decade and have separated themselves from the rest. Between them, they have ten Ballon d’Or with both winning five each while they have also dominated the champions league.

They are currently the top scorers in Europe’s prestigious competition with Ronaldo leading the way with 126 goals followed by his arch rivals who has 112 goals to his name.

On the international scene, however, Ronaldo has the edge over the Argentine superstar as he has two trophies with Portugal while the Messi is still looking for his first senior trophy with La Albisceleste following near misses in three finals.

But despite Ronaldo’s international success, fans of the two rivals have refused to agree that one is better than the other. The debate between the fans of these two “GOATS’ is more intense than when Britain was negotiating for Brexit.

However, a supercomputer may have put an end to the argument. In a study conducted by a group of Belgian analysts, Barcelona star, Lionel Messi is adjudged to be better than the Juventus star.

According to Sporza in Belgium, professors teamed up with a group of Dutch Scientists who came up with what is called Valuing Actions By Estimating Probabilities (VAEP).

The formula according to them, looks at a player’s all-round game and also take into account everything they do both in the defensive and offensive aspect. After looking at this for both Ronaldo and Messi, they came into conclusion that the Argentina captain is better than the Portuguese star.
