Frank Lampard blasts Chelsea players for Sheffield United display

The Blues boss was left disappointed after watching his men let slip a two goal lead at the Stamford Bridge, leaving the club legend without a home win since taking charge in the summer.

Frank Lampard has lashed out at Chelsea players for not taking responsibility which allowed Sheffield United to claw back a two goal deficit and leave London with a share of the points.

Tammy Abraham scored two first half goals in a commanding display but an error strewn second half gave the Blades the inspiration to net two goals in the second half, the equalizer being a Kurt Zouma own goal at the stroke of 90 minute.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, while talking to BBC Sport and monitored by Soccernet.ng, didn’t spare the rod.

“We have to take responsibility, we allowed that to happen. It was on us to take the game away from them and we allowed them to get back into it,” said the Blues boss.

“If we can’t go on and get a third goal that’s something we have to work on, this is the Premier League, it’s ruthless. At 2-0 up you have to take advantage of it.”
