With Alexis Sanchez on the verge of joining Romelu Lukaku at Inter Milan, Manchester United have limited striking options.
But a former Barcelona striker and Ex player at the club, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has offered his services should Solskjaer wants to go into the transfer market in January.
Ibrahimovic who played for United between 2016-2018, winning the Carabao Cup and Europa League, revealed he is still good enough to play in the Premier League.
The 37-year-old currently plays for LA Galaxy and has scored 46 goals in 49 games since he joined the MLS side in 2018. “I could play easy in the Premier League, so if United needs me, I’m here,” he said.
However, if he is to make a return in Old Trafford, it will have to be in January- although he hinted that is unlikely. “Galaxy has me, so I’m sorry,” he added. “I did my job in Europe. I enjoyed it, I have 33 trophies that I brought with me here and hopefully, I can get something here. “And then we will see where that adventure finishes.”
Ibrahimovic also revealed he still follows United games, while he also said he has been in touch with Pogba who is reportedly unhappy at Old Trafford.
“I saw the last game and I think they were unlucky,” he said. “If they score the penalty it’s a different game, but a game in England is not finished until it’s finished. “Anything can happen, especially in the last minutes where everything is in the heat of the moment.”
On Pogba: “I speak with him. A lot of advice I give – but nothing I share with you!” The Swede added.
