CAF Champions League: Enyimba FC Goalkeeper Reveals What The Team Would Do Against Rahimo

Enyimba goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokha has urged his teammates to raise the standard of their game ahead of Saturday’s CAF Champions League second leg clash against Burkina Faso side, Rahimo FC in Aba.

The Nigerian side will be hoping to overturn the one-goal deficit despite the fact that the team will be playing in an empty stadium after receiving CAF ban.

Afelokha stated that Enyimba are up the task and would be too big to get knocked out of the preliminary stage of the champions league.

“Honestly we just need to win the game, playing behind closed doors is not good because the supporters would have made things a lot easier for us but I don’t think that will be enough excuse for us not to win the match and qualify.

“We need to come out to play our way. Honestly, as footballers, we feel somehow when we heard that we are going to play behind closed doors.

“But we just need to encourage ourselves and Enyimba is too big to get knocked out of the preliminary stage of the champions league.”

The Aba Boys are the most successful Nigerian football club as they have won two African Champions League titles
