Buhari Announces New Sports Minister

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Sunday Dare as the new Sports Minister.

His appointment was confirmed on Wednesday during the swearing-in ceremony of the 43-new ministers at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The new minister is a veteran Nigerian journalist who has worked in diverse aspects of the media, they include broadcasting (TV and radio), journalism (electronic and print), and decades of multimedia journalism experience spanning over 25 years.

Until is nomination he was the executive commissioner (Stakeholder Management) of the NCC
Sunday Akin Dare graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in International Studies from Ahmadu Bello University in 1991.
He then proceeded to obtain a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the University of Jos.
He replaces Barrister Solomon Selcap Dalung.
