Nigeria’s U-2- team, popularly known as the Flying Eagles are expected to depart the shores of Nigeria on Wednesday ahead of the 12th All Africa Games kicking off this Friday in Rabat, Morocco.
Having been pitted in group A alongside host, Morocco, South Africa, and Burkina Faso, the team will be hoping to begin their campaign on a bright note.
Recall that on Monday, Flying Eagles Head coach, Paul Aigbogun, named a strong 18-man squad that are homegrown. This is the first time Nigeria’s U20s are representing the country in the men’s football event of the All Africa Games.
In the past, the U23 team, known as Olympic Eagles had been representing the country in the men’s football event of the All Africa Games.
The team will face Burkina Faso on Friday, 16th August at Rabat before facing South Africa and Morocco.
