Just days after Manchester United spent big to secure the services of Harry Maguire for €90 million, Juventus are set to splash a mouthwatering €75 million for the young Dutch centre-back.

The Ajax captain arrived on Tuesday night ahead of his expected signing with Juventus, subject to a successful medical.

The 19 year-old made his debut for Ajax in 2016 and has won the Eredivisie title and the Dutch Cup.

He was also a member of the Ajax team that lost to Manchester United in the final of the Europa League in 2017.

De Ligt had a memorable time last season, helping Ajax win the Eredivisie title and also guiding the club to the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League.

His exploits attracted Europe’s top clubs including Barcelona, Manchester United, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Paris St Germain.

It is now clear that the talented Dutch has decided to pit his camp with the Italian champions.

A really busy summer in Turin as seen Aaron Ramsey join from Arsenal, Adrien Rabiot arrive from PSG, Gigi Buffon rejoin after a year away and manager Maurizio Sarri come in from Chelsea.
