Barcelona star Lionel Messi has been sent off in Argentina’s Copa America third-place clash against Chile on Saturday night.
The Argentina captain was sent off after getting involved in a spat with former Cardiff City player Gary Medel. The dismissal capped off a disappointing tournament for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
He struggled all through the tournament scoring just a lone goal without registering an assist. Argentina are contesting in the third-place match after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Brazil in the Semi-Finals.
Chile meanwhile lost the defence of their title after they suffered a shocking loss to Peru in the Semi-Finals.
