Nigeria Pillar of Sports Reveals How To Defeat South Africa

Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike, JP, has charged the national football team to go all out for victory on Wednesday night’s all-important AFCON quarterfinal game against the Bafana Bafana at the Cairo International Stadium, Egypt.

The Gernot Rohr’s men trade tackles against the South African national team with a semi-final slot at stake.

Nigeria enjoyed a comeback victory over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the last round and have been brimming with confidence in training.

The Super Eagles have never lost at the Afcon to South Africa but the international businessman has urged the three-time Afcon champions to forget the team’s record against South Africa and play with determination and earnestness.

“History is no longer relevant in the round leather game. Therefore, every game should be confronted with all seriousness,” Chief Agu-Ejidike told Complete Sports.

The Bafana Bafana, against steep odds, knocked out favourites and tournament hosts Egypt in the Round of 16. The sports philanthropist therefore warned Gernot Rohr’s side to expect a difficult and grueling challenge from a team that is not lacking in motivation.

“What will be going through the minds of the South Africa players will be that if they could eliminate Pharaohs of Egypt even with their intimidating supporters, why not Nigeria with scanty supports. Therefore, the Eagles must be ready to soar higher and above the Bafana Bafana.”
