Exclusive: Nigeria vs Cameroon: Rohr Must Select The Right Players, Says Dosu

Ex-international, Dosu Joseph has advised Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr to select players capable of overcoming the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations today.

The former Atlanta Olympic gold medalist, stated at the backdrop of the team’s selection against Madagascar, which saw Nigeria lose 2-0 and forfeit their top spot in group B.

In a chat with Soccernet.ng, Dosu called for total concentration from the players and believed that Nigeria would defeat Cameroon if they approach the game with the right mentality.

“I see no reason why the Super Eagles cannot overcome the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon today.

“If you are judging the team based on their performance against Madagascar then we should have easily said that Morocco will defeat a Benin side that qualified without winning a match.

“Most importantly, the Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr must ensure he select the right players that can deliver the job. I believe Nigeria can beat Cameroon regardless of the hype that has been giving to today’s encounter.”
