Chukwueze Believes Super Eagles Can Win AFCON 2021

Super Eagles youngster, Samuel Chukwueze, has revealed his desire to win the Africa Cup of Nations in future with Nigeria.

The Villarreal midfielder made four appearances at the tournament, scoring a goal against South Africa in the quarter-final clash.

However, Chukwueze has set sights on winning the 2021 AFCON trophy after the team could only clinch the bronze medal.

He told BBCSports that he’s delighted to have been part of the bronze medal Super Eagles squad.

“When you pick up a medal in your first major tournament it is a positive sign of bigger things to come,” Chukwueze, who has played for his country at all levels, told BBC Sport.

“Not so many young players get the opportunity to be in the Nigeria squad and even get a chance to play.

“I know with our squad we are capable of winning this competition in the future, and I really want to be a part of that.”
