Ex-international, Sunday Oliseh believes Nigeria’s victory over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have put the team in a pole position of winning the Africa Cup of Nations.
The three-time Africa Champions dethroned defending champions, Cameroon 3-2 in Saturday’s round of 16 clash thanks to an Alex Iwobi’s late goal in the second half.
However, the former Super Eagles coach stated via his twitter handle @SundayOOliseh that the team has regained their rhythm and displayed a strong mentality to defeat Cameroon.
“Super Eagles players show strong mental strength to beat Cameroon and qualify for the quarter-finals. Now everything is possible! Delighted for the boys,” Oliseh tweeted.
Nigeria will face the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the quarter-final of the biennial competition on Wednesday.
