Chelsea have made it clear to Real Madrid that they will not sell Eden Hazard for anything below £100m during the summer transfer window.
The European giants have been in hot pursuit of the Belgian star for years now and feel this summer they can finally get their man to fill the void left by club legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, Madrid are adamant they will not pay what Chelsea want and if Blues director of football Marina Granovskaia won’t budge on the asking price, then they will ask Hazard to push for the transfer.
The 28-year-old has shone once again this season and has been one of the standout players in the Premier League, netting 14 goals and providing 12 assists for his team-mates.
If Granovskaia stands firm, then Madrid want Hazard to make his dreams of playing at the Bernabeu public to hurry up the move.
However, all parties involved believe the deal will go through this summer and Hazard will finally become a Galactico.
The Blues hope that if they do sell Hazard it will encourage 18-year-old Callum Hudson-Odoi to sign a new deal, as his path to regular first-team football will be clearer.
Hudson-Odoi also has a year left on his deal and will attract bids from Manchester United and Bayern Munich this summer.
However, the Stamford Bridge outfit will not allow both players to leave with a transfer ban looming.
