Five key players from Nigeria’s U17 team have been ejected for failing an MRI test, this is coming only a few days away from the U17 African Cup of Nations holding in Tanzania.
Brila reports that the team were unable to undertake the test before the WAFU qualifying series, however, after the test that was conducted on Friday, 5 key players from the team that qualified the country for the African Youth Championship in Tanzania have been knocked out.
Nigerian players have been under fire for age cheating in the past, in March a few players were sent out of the U23 team camp by NFF officials for the same reason.
