2019 AFCON Qualifier: Nigeria Beat Seychelles 3-1

Nigeria’s Super Eagles finished the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on a high after defeating Seychelles 3-1 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Friday.

The team took the lead 35th minutes via a penalty from Odion Ighalo before Roddy Melanie levelled the score for Seychelles in the 41st minutes to silenc the home crowd.

However, at the resumption of the second half, Henry Onyekuru extended Nigeria’s lead to two goals before substitute, Moses Simon netted the third goal to all but end Seychelles’ dream of an equaliser.
