Leicester set to appoint Brendan Rodgers as new manager
Brendan Rodgers has been spotted for the first time at the King Power Stadium as he prepares to leave Celtic and take charge of Leicester City.
Rodgers has said his goodbyes to the players and staff at the Scottish Premiership giants, and will soon be unveiled as Claude Puel’s replacement.
In a short clip filmed by Sky Sports, a smart-looking Rodgers walks alongside Leicester’s head physio Dave Rennie, seemingly getting a tour of the club’s stadium.
Rodgers leaves Celtic top of the Scottish Premiership, taking over a Leicester side who sit 12th in the Premier League amid a dreadful run of form.
A 4-1 defeat by Crystal Palace on Saturday was their fourth home defeat in a row, and Rodgers will almost certainly be in the stands to watch their game against Brighton on Tuesday evening.
As previously reported by Sportsmail, initial inquiries were made before Christmas but Puel survived by virtue of wins over Chelsea and Manchester City.
