Nigerian striker Qudus Lawal has said he could be the next big thing for the National team.
Speaking to Soccernet.ng, Lawal said he has a lot to offer the team and it will be an honour to represent his fatherland.
The 23-year-old currently plays in second-tier USL Championship for Fresno FC, a club he joined on 23 January 2019. Before Fresno, Qudus also played for Seattle Sounders FC 2 and Wilmington Hammerheads.
Qudus pointed out that Nigeria might soon be needing a replacement for out-of-form players and he feels he’ll be the perfect man for the Job.
“Nigeria will soon be needing a replacement for the likes of Odion Ighalo. I feel, I can bring something new to the National team,” Qudos told Soccernet.ng.
“Rashidi Yekini was given an opportunity and he grabbed it. He put in his all and today we all know him for what he did.”
“If I’m given the same opportunity, I’ll give it all I got and make sure I make everyone proud.”
“All I need is the opportunity and I’m confident I can be the next big thing for Nigeria.”
