Real Madrid has completed the signing of a new player in a bid to compete for the La Liga title after a disastrous start to the season.
Real Madrid signed Spanish starlet Brahim Diaz from Manchester City for a fee of £15.5m, plus a further £6.5m (€7.3m) in bonuses.
A statement on Real Madrid’s official website confirms Diaz has agreed on a six-and-a-half-year contract and will undergo a medical on Monday.
Manchester City included some clause in the deal as the Etihad outfit would earn a 15 per cent sell-on clause and could rise to 40 per cent if he is sold to Manchester United by Real Madrid.
Diaz,19 could play in all attacking position coupled with the fact that he is comfortable with both legs and could play on both wings.
The attacker joined Manchester City from Malaga in 2013 at the age of 14 and gained promotion to the first team at the 17 under the guidance of Pep Guardiola.
He made 15 appearances for Manchester City and he also represented Spain at the 2016 European Under-17 Championship, where the country finished runners-up to Portugal.
