South Africa will Conquer Nigeria in Johannesburg – Baxter

South Africa coach, Stuart Baxter, has said that Bafana Bafana would get rid of the Super Eagles in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Bafana sits second on the table with eight points, one point behind a Nigerian team that is top of the log with nine points from four games.

With both teams set to clash on November 17 at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, Baxter believes that the recent injuries that have hit the team won’t have any psychological impact but propelled the team to overcoming Nigeria.

“Being confident means, the players that I have worked with I know they desire greatly to qualify,” said Baxter.

“They know that Nigeria are a top class team and will be on the other side of the field. They know we’ve got to get rid of that (win Nigeria) to get where we want to go.

“So, I believe that the players won’t have a problem, with not wanting it enough and not being able to balance that mental attitude towards the game.”
