As Nigeria marks her 58th Independence anniversary on Monday, some of the Super Eagles’ stars took to the social media to celebrate their beloved country.
Players such as Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi, Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi, Al Nasser’s Ahmed Musa, Galatasary’s Henry Onyekuru to mention a few, admonished Nigerians to remain united.
“Happy Independence Day Nigeria, your big 17 at Arsenal and for the Nigeria national team celebrating you,” Alex Iwobi said in a video he posted on Twitter.
“Happy Independence Day to all my fellow countrymen. 58 years of freedom and independence. May God continue to bless our nation and may His grace continue forever. #Weareone #Nigeria #EK 🦅 🇳🇬,” Oghenekaro Etebo tweeted via his official handle on Monday.
“Happy Independence Day Naija 🇳🇬,” Ndidi tweeted. “Today is a day that represents freedom, equality and unity. I stand proud to be a Nigerian and on this day of our independence.
“I want to salute all my fellow Nigerians in honour of this great day. Happy Independence Day. #ILoveMyCountry #ForeverAEagle #Weareone #Nigeria @58 🦅🇳🇬” Musa tweeted.
“Happy Independence Day to my Country 🇳🇬. Let’s celebrate my brothers and sisters 🎉,” Onyekuru posted on his Twitter handle.
