Odion Ighalo scored his fourth goal in two matches against Libya when he opened the floodgate of goals in the 13th minute with a simple tap-in before Ahmed Musa increased Nigeria’s goal tally to two with another simple finish.
The Libyans reduced the scoreline in the 33rd minutes before levelling score to 2-2 in the 74th minutes.
However, Ighalo restored Nigeria’s lead in the 81st minute to earned the team the maximum point ahead of their mouth-watering clash against South Africa in November.
Nigeria and South Africa are on nine points apiece and the game in the Madiba land could determine which team tops the group.
