Playing in Tunisia would be a disadvantage for Libya – Barr Akinwunmi

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) First vice president, Barr Seyi Akinwunmi has disclosed that Super Eagles would take advantage of playing the Libyans in Tunisia in the reverse fixture of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on October 16.

Both teams will be hoping to avoid defeat considering the fact that anything short of victory could jeopardize their chances of making it through to the bi-annual tournament slated for Cameroon.

Barr Akinwunmi, who doesn’t believe playing in Tunisia would be a home advantage for the Libyans, stated that Nigeria would pick the three points against Libya.

“I believe we are giants in Africa, if anything goes wrong it is not because we are not good enough it is because football can be unpredictable but as far as ability is concerned, I believe we can do this.

“Luckily for us, even our away match is an away match for them too. I think we have the home advantage and the neutral ground advantage so I think we should be able to get the maximum three points in both encounters.”
