I’ll do my best to help Nigeria qualify for AFCON – Agu

Super Eagles midfielder, Mikel Agu has revealed that he’s delighted to have made a return to the team.

Nigeria will play South Africa in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier before facing Uganda in an international friendly encounter.

However, the Vitoria Setubal midfielder stated that he can’t wait to be part of the Super Eagles fold when camp resume.

“It is a good feeling to be back to the National Team, it a family I belong to irrespective of the fact that I have not being invited for quite some time, but it is great to know I’ve called up again to serve my country.

“I hope to give my best, the way I always do in the field of play. I can’t wait to join my fellow colleagues in the Camp when the camp resumes.

“I think I will call it a wonderful moment of reunion for me knowing fully well, throughout the world cup qualifiers and African Cup of Nations qualifiers the last edition I was part of the team.

“Coming into the team for me, it’s really a good moment, I hope to do my best and I want to thank the technical crew for counting me worthy once again to be invited into the national team.
